We are delighted to welcome back Tali Gallery to the Balmain Art & Craft Show this year. Tali Gallery brings a wealth of experience and a diverse range of Indigenous Art. Di and Yhanni the owners of Tali, local residents of 25 years are committed to various cultural programs and now work with over 20 Aboriginal Owned Community Art Centres located all over Australia and as far afield as the Tiwi Islands, the Kimberley, the Central Desert and Arnhemland. Supporting these art centres enables the continuation and strengthening of culture and the wellbeing of the people living in these remote communities. It also ensures top provenance and reassurance of ethical sourcing for the buyer.
Tali were recently awarded Best of Sydney – Best Indigenous Art and Artefacts 2012 and the Building Inclusive Communities Award from Macquarie University and the Ethnic Communities Council of NSW presented at Parliament House by NSW Premier, Barry O’Farrell. Mbantua Gallery are also returning as suppliers to the Show this year.
